Release concert of Kvinnolåt's album Skånska spelkvinnor. Two multi-instrumentalists celebrate the mothers, sisters, daughters who have contributed to keeping the traditional music from the southernmost region of Sweden alive.

ETHNO ON THE ROAD

Ethno is most likely the worlds largest and oldest international traditional music camp for youths. Today Ethno camps can be found all over the world, but it started here in Sweden and yearly attracts over 100 young musicians from almost as many countries.

In this concert we will hear five of this years participants.

ANA ALCAIDE -'Ritual' a mystical journey with REZA SHAYESTEH

Musician and composer Ana Alcaide from Spain fell in love with the nyckelharpa as she was traveling through Sweden. In this concert her sound will meet with Reza Shayesteh's classical Persian setar and a whole new world is created. Reza originally from Iran will be a familiar face to the Malmö citizen.

Folk musician, composer and violinist. Sara Parkman is the perfect mix of Vikings and Berghain - folklore, heavy beats, Hildegard von Bingen, Gregorian chants and dirty violins all come together in her unique sound. Her third album “Vesper”, released in 2019, was critically acclaimed and is nominated for a Swedish grammy.

Legendary percussionist Sanba Zao from Haiti in a unique meeting with one of Sweden's prides Sten Källman.

SPELMAN REMIXED is an innovative meeting between a very traditionally concious fiddle player Sven Midgren and DJ Clara Stjärna. What on earth will happen? ;)
