17.00-18.00 // MALMÖ LIVE KONSERTHUS, CONCERTS HALL’S FOYERS
The 1 km of Music ensemble will perform the piece in the foyer of Malmö Live Konserthus.
"1 km of Music" is a playful musical and visual work, a music installation performance. It consists of long fabric strips with musical notes, mounted in places like a forest, a city, or a giant room – a ribbon that is 1 km long. Here, it takes place in the vast foyer of Malmö Live, winding up and down stairs, hanging from ceilings, walls, and railings.

The notes vary in appearance: some are more classical, others more unusual, with some graphic notation and images.

Five musicians will move along Brita Björs' notes and play what's written. The audience can choose to follow one musician and experience their solo concert, or stay in place and wait for the next interpretation, or find a sweet spot where they can hear several musicians simultaneously, creating an ensemble of individual soloists. Come and watch. Come and listen. Come and play!
